Terms and Conditions

By using this privately operated Pope County records-reference service, you agree to these terms. Do not use the service if you do not accept them.

This is a private resource with no government affiliation. Neither this service nor its advertising partners provides FCRA-covered services, consumer reports, private-investigation services, or official Pope County custody records.

Private service only

The service is independent of Pope County, Douglas County Jail, any sheriff, court, jail, or corrections department. It stores no official record and cannot verify custody, obtain a release, file paperwork, or act for a public agency. It may point to official record pathways and independent search tools.

Acceptable use

Use the service lawfully and respectfully. Do not stalk, harass, threaten, impersonate another person, attempt unauthorized access, use automated scraping, disrupt access for others, or submit harmful code. Do not use content to make employment, housing, lending, insurance, licensing, government-program, or other FCRA-regulated decisions.

FCRA restriction

This service is not a consumer reporting agency under the Fair Credit Reporting Act and does not provide consumer reports, credit reports, or screening services. You agree not to use any information from this service or its partners for hiring, firing, tenant selection, creditworthiness, insurance pricing, permits, benefits, or any other purpose covered by the FCRA.

Outside links

Links can lead to jail rosters, booking procedures, sheriffs, courts, corrections agencies, legal resources, federal locators, and outside search providers. They are offered for convenience. This service does not control their content, privacy rules, availability, data practices, or results, and a link is not an endorsement.

No warranties

The service is provided “as is” and “as available.” No warranty is made about accuracy, completeness, currency, uninterrupted operation, security, error-free service, or the breadth of partner results. Custody and public records can change quickly, and nothing here is an official statement from a government office.

Liability limit

To the fullest extent allowed by law, the operators and partners are not liable for damages arising from use of, inability to use, or reliance on the service or an outside resource.

Indemnification

You agree to defend and hold the operators harmless from claims, losses, liabilities, and reasonable legal fees arising from your use of the service, your violation of these terms, or your violation of another person’s rights.

Intellectual property

Service text, graphics, logos, layout, and code are owned by Pope County Busted Mugshots or applicable content partners. They may not be copied, distributed, modified, or commercially reused without written permission, except where law permits.

Changes and access

These terms may be changed at any time, with an updated version effective when posted. Access may be limited, suspended, or revoked at any time, for any reason and without notice.

Minnesota law and severability

These terms are governed by Minnesota law, and disputes must be brought in Minnesota courts where permitted. If any provision is invalid or unenforceable, it will be adjusted only as necessary and the remaining provisions will continue in effect.

Terms questions

Questions about these terms may be sent through the Contact Us page. Record and legal questions should be directed to the appropriate agency, court, or licensed attorney.
